The main benefit of doing an academic year in Ireland is the proximity to Italy which allows you to come back during vacation periods without the flight costing a lot. Another great advantage is the easy and quick convalidation of the course in Italy. The only course that has an additional cost is the Diploma di Esame di Stato year since the student has to take the Leaving Certificate exam at the end of it.

Irish families offer a unique chance to immerse yourself in the culture of the Emerald Isle. By staying with one of these welcoming households, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the way of life in the country, and be treated like one of the family – a perfect opportunity to help you acclimate and make the most of your stay.

In Ireland, the educational system is a world-renowned leader according to the latest PISA study. Secondary schooling consists of two cycles: junior and senior. Between both cycles there is Transition Year, a formative fourth year of study, is especially interesting in the Emerald Isle, with common classes like math, history and language, as well as optional workshops, job placement and team activities. In Ireland you can find State schools or Community Schools, which are mixed and not connected to religion. These are completely funded by the government and are plentiful and of high quality. Meanwhile, private schools and boarding schools, are mostly Catholic and with great historical roots and scholastic reputations, both are excellent options.
At Sagitter Training, we understand the importance of providing a top-notch Academic Year experience. We don’t trust external management companies to handle the process – we’ve got plenty of experience to do it ourselves. During the first few weeks, we’ll help you select the necessary subjects for the year, and then provide follow-up throughout the year. Upon your return, the grade you obtained in Ireland will be validated, without affecting your overall grade point average. All of this, and all of the necessary procedures, are included in the price of the Academic Year Program.

I had a good experience working with Priscilla, she took care of the internships that me and my friends were offered for two months in London as hotel receptionists. I had support in many situations, especially at the start because there had been a small misunderstanding between the university and Sagitter Training about the position I was looking for. This issue was solved very quickly and I had a great internship in a hotel chain. I met with Priscilla periodically to discuss about how it was going. Overall I am very satisfied with this unforgettable experience.
